3D Christmas Hat Paper Craft

Hi! I'm Héctor, and I've been designing low poly papercraft masks for over 8 years with lots of passion and care.

This section exists because I want everyone, no matter their budget, to be able to enjoy the process of assembling a unique polygonal mask with their own hands.

But I also want to be honest with you: More than 200,000 people have downloaded my free PDFs, and although that makes me incredibly happy, it has generated €0 for me after all the hours I've dedicated to them.

This project survives thanks to the people who purchase the paid designs. Every purchase allows me to keep designing new masks and to keep this small creative revolution going.

That's why, inside each free PDF you'll find an exclusive discount code for the shop. If you decide to use it, you'll be sending me a clear message that you want me to keep creating free masks.

Have you enjoyed my free designs and want to support my project? You can also make a small direct contribution:

My 2-and-a-half-year-old son loved it! If I had printed the templates a bit smaller (at 95% scale), it probably would have fit his head better. Even so, I made it for myself and it still worked for him too—how funny! Very clear instructions, I recommend it.

I just want to thank you for the mask template that helped us win a prize at a recent Halloween party over the weekend. I decorated it a bit with some LED lights and golden details inside the ears… It looked amazing. We got a lot of positive comments from other partygoers.

I successfully purchased and made the mask; the YouTube tutorial was very helpful. I spray-painted the mask with metallic pink acrylic and added extra layers of clear acrylic spray, which made it waterproof. I glued some foam material inside the mask to make it fit better. I received a lot of compliments on the mask design.

Why does a PDF cost money if I'm not buying the mask already assembled?

Yes, we know, no matter how absurd it may sound, we’ve been asked this question before. And the answer is simple.
You want to make a cool mask. You’ve got the materials, the motivation, even the time... but unfortunately, you don’t know how to design in 3D.
That’s where we come in. We’ve invested hundreds of hours so you can choose from a collection of original, self-made designs, and we give you everything ready to go: clear instructions, video tutorials, and templates so you can get started right away.
Basically, you’re not paying for “a PDF,” you’re paying for our expertise—and for sparing yourself the hassle of having to design the mask yourself.

How do I download and print the free masks?

Go to the desired free model in our Shop, download the PDF (which contains the templates and instructions), and save it to one of your devices. As for the program to open the file and print it from your home printer, we recommend using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, a free PDF viewer that you can download from Adobe’s official website.

How can I purchase the patterns? In what currency are the prices listed?

You can pay with either a credit or debit card or your PayPal account. The store prices are set in U.S. dollars (USD) by default, but when you view a product, you'll find a dropdown menu next to the price with several available currencies. If your country's currency isn't listed, don't worry—just select one from the list, and the conversion will be automatically processed at checkout according to your bank account or PayPal currency.

What type of paper is best for printing the papercraft mask templates?

We use cardstock, either A4 or US letter size, with a weight of 150-250 gsm to ensure the mask is sturdy and durable.

What materials do I need to print and assemble the low poly masks?

You will need: a printer with black ink and paper (for printing), scissors (for cutting), a ruler (for folding), glue or adhesive tape (for assembling), and color sprays or acrylic paint (for customizing).

How long does it take to assemble the free mask?

It depends on the design—eye masks take about 25 minutes, half masks around 1 hour, and full masks can take anywhere from 1.5 to 3 hours. At the beginning of our YouTube tutorials, we specify the difficulty level (easy, medium, or advanced) and the estimated assembly time.

What should I do if I have trouble downloading the file?

If you have any issues, you can contact us through the contact form, by email, or via the WhatsApp Business chat available on our website. We usually respond within a few hours (unless you catch us sleeping, of course).
